Sandblaster filters

Filtration and dust reduction

Since 1976, Lampugnani Sabbiatrici has been designing certified filtration systems for sandblasting and shot blasting machines , sized based on the characteristics of the machine, the abrasive used and the type of processing.

Correct filtration is essential in the sandblasting and shot peening process: the suction system conveys the dust towards the filter, keeping the cabin under vacuum and ensuring good visibility during processing and effective separation of the dust from the aspirated air.

What is the sandblaster filter for?

During sandblasting and shot peening processes, the impact of abrasives and microspheres on surfaces generates dust and processing residues that must be continuously extracted from the booth.

A professional filtration system is essential for:

  • Promote the correct functioning of the sandblaster: correct suction keeps the cabin in optimal conditions for continuous and efficient work.

  • Limit dust dispersion: the filter retains the dust conveyed by the suction system, helping to keep the work area cleaner.

  • Improve visibility: Continuous dust extraction allows the operator to see inside the sandblaster during sandblasting or shot blasting.

How does a sandblaster filter work?

Our filtration systems are designed to ensure effective dust extraction and retention, with particular attention to ease of use and maintenance.

  • Suction and pre-abatement: the dust-laden air enters the filter and passes through a pre-chamber, where the heavier particles fall by gravity into the collection drawer.

  • Cartridge filtration: the finest dust is retained by the high-efficiency technical fabric cartridge.

  • Automatic timed washing: a jet of compressed air in countercurrent automatically washes the cartridge at programmed intervals.

  • Easy maintenance: the cartridge is easily accessible and replaceable, while the collection drawer allows for convenient dust removal.

  • Standard pressure switch: allows you to monitor the efficiency of the filter cartridge.

Which filter should I choose for my sandblaster?

The choice of filtration system depends on the configuration of the sandblaster or shot blasting machine, the firing system and the number of guns used:

  • SE/1 : compact solution, ideal for vacuum systems (Venturi) with up to 2 guns .

  • LAC/10 : increased filtering capacity, with 10 m² of filtering surface . Suitable for pressurized systems and vacuum systems (Venturi) with up to 4 guns .

  • LAC/20 : the largest capacity system in the range, equipped with a double cartridge and 20 m² of filter surface . Ideal for large quantities of dust, higher-powered electric fans and configurations of up to 6 guns .
