The testing laboratory

Carrying out tests directly on the customer's components allows us to identify the most effective sandblasting or shot peening treatment, by assessing the actual result before selecting the machine.

Lampugnani offers its customers LAMPO-LAB, a testing laboratory equipped with various industrial sandblasting machines, abrasives and microspheres of different types and particle sizes. This makes it possible to compare multiple solutions and directly verify the quality of the surface finish achieved.

The laboratory is equipped with manual vacuum sandblasting and shot peening machines, an automatic sandblasting machine with a rotating basket, and a sandblasting machine with a pressure-fed system and a rotating table.

This configuration enables us to carry out representative tests of the various technologies and identify the sandblasting machine best suited to the component, the material and the required finish.

During the tests, various abrasives and microspheres, particle sizes, working pressures and treatment times are evaluated. The customer can thus see and feel the result first-hand, comparing different levels of cleanliness, roughness and surface finish.

The tests carried out with Lampugnani sandblasting machines also enable the process to be defined with greater precision prior to purchase, allowing the machine, abrasive and parameters to be selected on the basis of concrete results.
